Hero of Gondor by Carancerth Hero of Gondor by Carancerth
(Yes I made a little edit)
Picture taken in April 2009 for a shooting concerning the Gondor.

Tree design : Paul Navas
Tabard : Lucie

Man of Gondor : Chris Vernel

Photo by Thibaut Shenkel (the sword is also his property)
(the little edit on the picture is by myself)

An old suit.... I'm not as satisfied now as I was at first, it have a cool look, but... There is a lot of things here and here wich can be enhanced (tree, tabard, shield, armor...) Perhaps one day... =)

The one flaw is that the shield is way too big.

I will have one question :
Too big on the sceen, too visible, or too big in size ? ^^

just too big in size, and rather awkward to see.

well, as it's a shield it have to be protective, and there is an interpretation for the size and shape for the Gondor.
But, too big and awkward to see, I  wonder what are your arguments here ?
I just admit that the belts are not placed on a good place on this shield.

Perhaps it looks more awkward than big. too flat, and too regular perhaps( most shields are either slightly curved, seamed, or otherwise decorated at the edges.)

But the main thing is : a shield have first to be usefull ;)
Perhaps more curved could be good, but did you know why we need to curve a shield ? =)

To deflect the force from the enemies weapons away from the position of impact?

I'm not convicted by this theory, cause the training and experimentation show that it have mostly other uses ;)

Wow, every time I look at this fotograph it's impressive. You truly look like the heroes of Gondor as described by Tolkien!
